Mangatawa Native Nursery

The Mangatawa Native Nursery is a wholesale supplier of indigenous plants of New Zealand, located at the end of Truman Lane past BayPark Stadium. The nursery was established in 1990 to supply native plants for the Tauranga City Council Wastewater Treatment Plant at the Te Maunga Wetlands. The nursery has continued to supply local bodies, revegetation contractors, nurseries, garden centres, landscapers, farmers, farm foresters and individual gardeners.

Plants supplied have been used for projects that include effluent-treatment plantings, natural wetland plantings, farm restoration and regeneration, revegetation, wildlife habitat enhancement, coastal and dune plantings, erosion control and roadside/motorway plantings.
