Kevin Haua (Chairman)

Ko Mauao te maunga, Tauranga te moana, Mataatua te waka, ko Ngai Te Rangi te iwi, ko Ngati He me Nga Potiki nga Hapu, ko Kevin Haua Toku ingoa. Born and raised in Tauranga moana, married to Rawinia of Ngati Ranginui and Ngati Pukenga. We have four grown children. I attended Tauranga boys college for one year and Hato Petera for two years. I am a registered plumber by trade, however, in the last 28 years I have been involved in the roofing industry in tauranga in which my son and I own half share. After a 15 years as a trustee I am still passionate and very proud to be involved with the management and development of our lands and assets. My intial years were of learning under the leadership and guidance of former chairman Sonny Sewell, and in recent years along with fellow trustee of decision making to improve existing business activities and achieve better long term econic returns for the benifit of our shareholders and future generations. 

Neil Te Kani (Deputy Chairman)

Kia ora koutou te whanau. My name is Neil Te Kani, my kuia is Titia Tukairangi Te Kani, My father is Wiparera Te Kani and my mother is Porina Joan Bidios. I am of Ngai Te Rangi, Ngati Ranginui and Ngati Pukenga descent. I would like to add that I have a staunch Ratana Morehu backround, I treasure and honour my Whakapapa links. I am a honest and reliable person who is also hard working and diligent. I am a consensus builder and a very experienced trustee and director, and with all those values I am very much looking forward to working alonside our people and the board and showing you what i can bring to and for Mangatawa. 

Victoria Kingi (Trustee)

Kia ora, I am Victoria Kingi, I'm from here in Tauranga Moana. I graduated in Law from Auckland University, with honours in 1996 and practised with legal firms Russell McVeagh and Taylor Grant Tesiram in resource management and trust law/asset management. I have travelled extensively overseas and have settled again in my hometown with a busy whanau of now four boys inculding my husband Patrick Kingi, from the beautiful people of Whanau-a-Apanui(and others). I am committed to us - Mangatawa and currently project co-ordinating our papakainga which consist of 10 kaumatua units, which were finished in december 2011.

Paula Werohia (Trustee)

Ko Ngai Te Rangi, Ngati Ranginui, Ngati Pukenga me Te Arawa oku iwi, Ko Nga Potiki, Ngati He, Ngati Puapua, Pirirakau me Ngati Wahiao oku hapu. Ko Mauao te maunga, Tauranga te Moana, Mataatua raua ko Te Arawa nga waka, Ko Paula Mapuna Werohia toku ingoa. I was born, raised and educated in the Bay of Plenty in Tauranga and Mt Maunganui. I returned to New Zealand in 1990 from Australia where I had resided for 10 years. I continued my studies from 1990 at the bay of plenty polytechnic, universities of Raukawa, Waikato and Aotearoa towards my degree in maori leadership and development. The Majority of employment has been in administration and in the last five years Governance. Maori land development and capacity of our people to  manage and administer our lands and moana is the kaupapa that I work within. My Interest include fishing, diving environmental sustainability and travel.  

Whitiora McLeod (Trustee)

Ko Mauao te Maunga, Tauranga te Moana, Mataatua te waka, ko Ngai Te Rangi te iwi, Nga Potiki te hapu. Ko Toi McLeod toku koroua, ko Ngawai Ohia toku kuia, ko Rangimarie McLeod toku papa na ko Whitiora McLeod toku ingoa. Born and raised in Tauranga moana by my father on our beautiful hill Mangatawa. I have always admired the breath taking and spectacular views that surround us. I have three teenage children that i hold dear to my heart. I have been very humbled to be apart of the Board of Trustees. Being brought up on "the hill" and seeing the changes that have developed in and around Mangatawa gives me passion to do something great for us here and to show the diversity of our people and culture to make things happen as a whanau.

Pine McLeod (Trustee)

Ko Ngai Te Rangi te iwi, Nga Potiki te hapu, Tauranga te moana, Waitao te awa, na ko Mauao te maunga. Ko Toi Mcleod(senior) raua ko Taata Tom Farrell oku koroua, ko Hinenui Te Whetu raua ko Hautonga Farrell(nee Rameka) oku kuia ko Tahuriwakanui raua ko Peata McLeod oku matua, ko Pine McLeod ahau. Born and bred here on "the hill" with nine older siblings and my younger sister, we were very fortunate as children with the Ratana movement being a very strong influence in our lives, and can also form some of Mangatawas history books. I know I have a lot to offer Mangatawa and to those of you who have put me in my position i now have the oppurtunity to prove myself to you and what it is i would like to achieve as part of the committee. I know it is a challenge that I will strive my best for all shareholders to maximise the gain that mangatawa can achieve for us.   

Wakata Kingi (Trustee)

I am part of the Ngai Te Rangi and Ngati Ranginui tribe, my sub-tribes are Nga Potiki and Ngati He, Mauao is my maunga, Tauranga my moana, and I reside in the beautiful Nga Papaka o Rangataua also known as Maungatapu. My father Peter Ririnui was raised at Karikari by my grandparents and my mother Puti Ririnui (nee Harawira) was raised down Taranaki Lane, therefore I have always had a close association with Mangatawa and Papamoa. I have held a variety of many different positions in the last 16 years, I have come wide variety of people also. I believe every individual is important, no matter the title we hold, as too often we forget, it is the people who give us the power to do the mahi we do. To the shareholders of Mangatawa, I look forward to working closely alongside you and the Committee of Management, to do our best in our journey to evolving Mangatawa and its potential into this century, but keeping our history alive at the same time.
