TCC Leases

Mangatawa leases three areas of land to the local council. Two of these land parcels are approximately 7 hectares in size and form part of the wetlands, functioning as a natural filtration system for stormwater before the water enters the harbour.

The third lease is for the land on which the reservoir is located. This lease was finalised in June 2007 and is a far more equitable arrangement than it had previously been.
